The Puck-O-Matic

Excel Energy’s heat share donation program at the Xcel Energy Center was old and running out of space for new engraved pucks. They tasked us with figuring out a more fun and engaging experience for fans to gather around and interact with rather than just making a donation and then having your puck show up on the wall a year later. We went to them with the idea that fans could design, purchase and watch their custom puck being engraved by lasers. Naturally we gave it the name Puck O Matic and placed it in an experience called the Xcel Energy Warming House. Users would pay, and then be able to type out a message to be displayed on the puck and then use the side dials to tweak and customize the spiral design in the center.
