It’s a rough time to be a Minnesotan, eh? Our thirteen-year-old wanted to do something to speak up for our community and neighbors in Minnesota who are currently living in fear due to the ongoing federal immigration activity here. Being her father’s daughter, her first thought was to make a design that she could wear to school in quiet solidarity. She sat down with paper and markers and created an original “Ice Out” design complete with a snowflake and ice cube. After scanning it, printing it, coating screens in photo emulsion, mixing the ink and many tweaks along the screen-printing way, we have a finished product that she loves. We love it too. And we want to help her turn it into something bigger that can help our neighbors in a tangible way, which is why we are offering them to our community in order to raise awareness and funds for those who need it most and, most importantly, to show love to our neighbors. Because Minnesota is always going to show up. For our friends. For our family. For our neighbors. For our classmates. For our community. For our state.
$20 of each purchase will be donated to the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee, MIRAC, an organization on the ground in Minneapolis helping those who need it the most.
